The 19th annual Rocky Mountain Writers' Festival was held April 8 – April 11, 2009.
The venues included: The College Market, The Power House, Main Street Coffee & News, and Idaho State University.
Visiting Writers:
- Simon J. Ortiz (poet, fiction-writer, essayist, and professor at Arizona State University)
Readers: Michael Corrigan, Snake Edmo, Karen Homstad, Kevin Kiely, Leslie Leek, Will Peterson, Amil Quayle, Michael Sowder, Susan Swetnam, Harald Wyndham, and songs from Bob Picard.

The 18th annual Rocky Mountain Writers' Festival was held April 7 – April 12, 2008.
The venues included: Idaho State University, The College Market, Main Street Coffee & News, The Warehouse, and The Portneuf Valley Brewery.

As well as readers from The Caldera Writers, Black Rock & Sage (ISU Literary Journal), and Fort Hall.
